Adele impersonator divides opinion as she gets gastric band to copy weight loss

This Morning guest Maria Herriot divided opinions on Wednesday when she explained to Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes that she is getting a gastric band because she is an Adele impersonator.

Adele has lost an estimated four stone in recent years, and Maria said she has to keep up and lose weight too so she remains in a job.

She also said she was doing it for health reasons as she was at risk of issues due to being overweight. Her interview caused controversy, with many viewers blasting Maria for such drastic measures, and others claiming she looks and sounds nothing like Adele.
