Adam Thomas shuts down BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty after 'love you' message to Strictly Come Dancing partner

Adam Thomas wasted no time in shutting down Naga Muchetty when she hinted at his chances on Strictly Come Dancing. The actor appeared on BBC Breakfast on Thursday (September 21) alongside his dance partner Luba Mushtuk as they prepare for their first live performance.

Last Saturday night (September 16), viewers of the hit BBC One dance contest saw Adam discover his dance partner for the first time before they were seen in an energetic group number in which the couples got to show off some of their moves.

However, training has now properly begun as the competition truly begins this Saturday (September 23). Amidst a busy training and work schedule, as he films another series of BBC school-based drama Waterloo Road, Adam and Luba got chance to chat about his participation in the 2023 competition and what fans and viewers can expect this weekend. He confessed: "I've seen a couple of the other celebrities dancing and put it this way - I am no threat. There's quite a few [good dancers] out there but I'm just focusing on my own little journey and I'm just looking forward to getting out on that dancefloor and putting out a little bit of dad dancing and seeing what we can do." Naga then shared the backstage bets the team have put on the current contestants to win the competition this year, telling Adam and Luba: "We were having a chat about you today and the makeup team thinks that you're a dark horse."
