South African actress Charlbi Dean has passed away at the age of 32, Just Jared can confirm.
A rep for the actress told TMZ that she passed away on Monday (August 29) after an “unexpected sudden illness.” She reportedly passed away at a hospital in New York City. Click inside to read more… You may recognize Charlbi for her role in The CW role Black Lightning, where she portrayed Syonide.
She also appeared in recent films including Blood in the Water, Don’t Sleep, An Interview with God, Porthole and Triangle of Sadness.
Most recently, her film Triangle of Sadness, premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival and won the coveted Palme d’Or prize.
