Actors union apologises to Laurence Fox after branding him ‘a disgrace’ over Question Time comments

Actors union Equity has apologised to Laurence Fox after branding him a ‘disgrace’. The actor previously faced major backlash over his comments on Question Time, which saw him moan that the ‘race card’ is being too easily thrown around the debate surrounding Meghan Markle and it was getting ‘boring’.

Issuing a statement on Twitter, Equity wrote: ‘On 17 January a series of tweets were posted by the @EquityMEM Twitter account about Laurence Fox’s appearance on BBC Question Time. ‘We are sorry that in the tweets he was called a ‘disgrace’ by Equity.
