Jimmy Thelin remains very much at the forefront of Aberdeen’s managerial search.The Elfsborg coach remains one of the Pittodrie side’s top targets.
The Dons were knocked back last month because Thelin didn’t want to leave his current side in the lurch going into the new season, which kicked off last week.
Aberdeen, however, have refused to shut the door. The 46-year-old remains firmly on their radar. Thelin impressed the Reds when he interviewed for the job last season but lost out to Barry Robson.
He went on to finish second in the Swedish league, losing out to Malmo on the final day. Thelin has never hidden his desire to get a crack at the British game.
