CAA is dealing with the fallout of the Maha Dakhil situation. Aaron Sorkin has left the agency and returned to WME following the controversial social media post about Israel by co-head of motion pictures Dakhil. “Maha isn’t an antisemite, she’s just wrong.

She’s a great agent and I’m very proud of the work we did together over the last six years. I’m excited to be returning to WME,” The West Wing creator said in a statement to THR, which broke the news.

Sorkin, who wrote and directed The Trial of the Chicago 7, becomes the first high-profile talent to leave CAA after Dakhil’s comments.

Sorkin left CAA for WME in 2017 after he directed Molly’s Game. It comes after she reposted an Instagram story earlier this week that said, “You’re currently learning who supports genocide”.
