A24 Lands Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Queer’ Starring Daniel Craig

variety.comKatcy Stephan A24 has acquired U.S. distribution rights to “Queer,” the newest film from Academy Award-nominated director Luca Guadagnino.
The Daniel Craig-led movie, which will be released this year, makes its world premiere at the 81st Venice Film Festival on Sept.
3. Set in 1950s Mexico City, “Queer” follows William Lee (Craig), an American expat in his late 40s, as he leads a solitary life amidst a small American community.
However, the arrival in town of Eugene Allerton (Drew Starkey), a young student, stirs William into finally establishing a meaningful connection with someone.
