A Place In The Sun’s Scarlette Douglas has revealed how she’s been totally starstruck by some of the celebrities she’s encountered as she’s prepared for Soccer Aid 2023.
She told OK!: “It’s been a lot of fun, so much fun. It’s been amazing meeting everybody, amazing. “I was saying how you just turn around and there are these huge stars like Usain Bolt’s just there.” She also shared how she had joked around with Usain Bolt and explained: “I actually went up to him yesterday and said ‘I’m playing opposite you’ and he was like ‘good luck’ so I was like okay thank you.” It comes after Scarlette recently ended up in hospital needing urgent medical care after she tore her calf muscle during Soccer Aid practice earlier this year.
The TV presenter, 36, has made history as the first female celebrity from a non-sporting background to take part in SoccerAid.
Since her debilitating injury, Scarlette has undergone hours of physiotherapy in the hope that she will be able to play in the SoccerAid match.
