After Piers Morgan stormed off Good Morning Britain, ITV confirmed that he has left his role. And now he is come out in defence of his ‘opinion’, which included him stating he didn’t believe Meghan Markle was suicidal during her pregnancy.

He told his 7.8 million Twitter users that he would not apologise for exercising his ‘freedom of speech’ and it was a hill he was ‘happy to die on’. ‘On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview.

I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, OK,’ he wrote. ‘Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on.
