A grieving Dumfries mother is proud of her daughter's final gift

Join thousands of others in getting the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox.A heartbroken Dumfries mum whose daughter died in hospital days after she attempted to take her own life during lockdown has told how donating her girl’s organs has saved three men.Distraught Rochelle Gray told the Standard that Marley McCulloch, 24, “was still thinking of others until her last breath”.She said: “Marley had signed up to be an organ donor and her kidneys, liver and pancreas have saved the lives of three men.“Every day living without her is agonising, but I’m so proud of the fact she always put other people before herself.”Marley was taken to Dumfries Infirmary on February 24 following an incident at her home in Balmoral.
