Litter picks are taking place around Manchester to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s 70 years of service. Keep Manchester Tidy, the partnership between Manchester City Council and Keep Britain Tidy, will take to the streets with local groups by hosting 70 litter picks in a project called The Platinum Picks.
After hundreds of volunteers got involved in the Great British Spring Clean, and following calls for more litter picking events, Keep Manchester Tidy are embarking on the challenge to complete 70 litter picks in the Queen’s jubilee year.

by becoming litter picker for the day The Lord Mayor Elect Councillor Donna Ludford and her Consort Councillor Sean McHale will be stopping by at 1pm to help everyone celebrate the start of the Platinum Picks in style.
