The Tory policy is meant to push families on benefits into work. But campaigners say it forces social cleansing - by punishing people in high-rent areas.
Now figures confirm the huge gulf between the impact on many inner-city areas, compared to many country shires. As of February this year, 1,149 of the 78,817 households hit by the cap in Britain were in just one Westminster constituency, London's Brent Central.
