A woman who won a £5.5 million lottery jackpot was allegedly stabbed in the face by her partner during an attack at their house, it is reported.
Emma Brown, 49, is said to have suffered injuries to her face, stomach and arms at the detached lakeside property in Barry, South Wales, at about 10pm on January 30.
Ms Brown's 45-year-old partner, Stephen Gibbs, has been charged with attempted murder. He was remanded in custody following his arrest and is due to appear at Cardiff Crown Court in early March.
Ms Brown, who is reported to have won £5.5 million on the Lotto about four years ago, was seen being carried out of the house on a stretcher, said neighbours.
