justjared.comThere were so many celebrities attending the Met Gala for the first time at the 2022 event! More than 250 celebs were on the red carpet at the 2022 Met Gala on Monday evening (May 2) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
We counted at least 43 stars who walked the stairs of the Met for the first time. The dress code for the event was “Gilded Glamour” and it was inspired by the Costume Institute’s exhibition, In America: An Anthology of Fashion.
Guests are asked to “embody the grandeur—and perhaps the dichotomy—of Gilded Age New York,” a period that stretched from 1870 to 1890.
The official co-chairs this year were Regina King, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
