Royal Style in the Making exhibition at Kensington Palace. Although the exhibition also includes a toile for Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother’s 1937 coronation dress and never-before-seen examples of eveningwear and tailored pieces created for three generations of royal women, Diana’s gown is its focal point.
That’s partly due to the time that has elapsed since it was last on display (some seven years have passed since it entered into Prince William and Prince Harry’s private collection, when Harry turned 30; many expected Diana’s sons to keep the gown out of the public eye forever, but they agreed to loan it to this exhibition).
