Emotions ran high on 22 Kids and Counting as Ellie Radford confessed, "This is going to be a disaster." The fan-favourite was seen rallying her siblings for the gruelling Tough Mudder challenge the family had signed up for, but it wasn't long before tears were shed.
Ellie encountered "setbacks" while the younger children scampered around the garden, navigating makeshift obstacles and getting mucky.
Ellie optimistically told the camera, "That went pretty good. I'm pretty hopeful about this Tough Mudder, but I feel like most of them want to get to the end before everyone else so they won't help each other. They're too competitive." However, chaos ensued when Casper ended up crying inside a pink plastic castle, leading Ellie to console him, saying, "Casper you wasn't disqualified, you did fine." The narrator ominously noted, "There are 10 days to go but with the pressure of Tough Mudder, the family's already starting to crack," reports the Mirror.
And Ellie herself acknowledged the mounting tension, admitting again, "This is going to be a disaster." The episode followed the news that Sue and Noel's son Daniel was exiting the show and his family to start anew in Australia after landing a job there.
