The 2025 F1 season has had a rough start for some teams. This year’s Formula 1 race season kicked off in Melbourne, Australia, in mid-March and has only had two races so far.

From those first two races, several drivers have struggled in their cars, with some veterans trying to score points and some of the rookies doing very well.

There are only ten teams and 20 drivers on the grid this year, before an 11th team and two more drivers join in 2026. Starting off the season, there were 14 returning drivers and six rookies making their full time F1 season debut.

There are also several seat changes as only two teams kept both of their drivers. Three of those rookie drivers next year have stepped up during the 2024 season to either fill in as a reserve driver or take over a drivers’ seat after they were let go.
