variety.comSteven J. Horowitz Senior Music Writer The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards are in full swing, with artists including Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter descending on UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
The show, hosted by Megan Thee Stallion, is set to feature performances from Eminem, Shawn Mendes, Benson Boone, Anitta, Karol G, LL Cool J, Camila Cabello, Halsey and more.
Swift leads the nominations with 12 nods, including video of the year for “Fortnight” and artist of the year. Post Malone trails behind her with 11 nominations, while Ariana Grande, Carpenter and Megan each claim seven.
SZA, meanwhile, has six, and LISA, Teddy Swims and Olivia Rodrigo have four apiece. In addition to performances and awards, Katy Perry is being honored with the MTV Video Vanguard Award, performing a medley of her hits.
