EXCLUSIVE: The 80th annual Golden Globes generated 33M minutes of viewing on Peacock in the first two days the awards show was available on the service.
This year not only marked the ceremony’s return to broadcast television on NBC, but it also was the first year that the show was live streamed on Peacock.
During the day of the event and the day after, the show drew 793,000 video starts, which the streamer defines as any video start or viewing session, and not unique viewers.
A single viewer can have multiple video starts. According to the streamer, that’s a 245% increase from 2021’s ceremony — though it’s important to note that the full 2021 show was only available as video on demand and not in real time.
