Sign up to the MySalford newsletter and don't miss a thing happening in and around the city188 food businesses have set up in Salford since April – many of which are caterers working from home.Salford council has reported a rise in unrated premises it needs to inspect for food hygiene standards.It comes after most visits were put on hold for the first half of 2020 due to the pandemic, meaning environmental health officers missed 30 inspections.But the council has confirmed record-high levels of compliance across the city with 90pc of premises in all wards receiving a satisfactory food hygiene rating.Overall, 94.1pc of premises were rated three or more above in the year up to April 2020, with results ranging from 98.8pc in Weaste to 90.6pc.
