Forecasters have warned of “significant disruptive snowfall” in the coming days – with up to 30cm of the white stuff predicted to fall in parts of the country.The biting winter weather front is being dubbed the Beast from the East 2 – a weather based sequel to a similar cold snap that gripped the nation in 2018.The Met Office said Sunday started "on a wintry note in some areas, with rain turning increasingly to snow across the South East of the UK, and snow showers feeding into the North East".Members of the public should expect severe disruptions to road travel and recommends restricting travel to only absolutely necessary journeys.The icy blast is expected to last at least four days.Snow and blizzard conditions have caused disruption.
