Superdrug shop staff go viral for 'BAFTA worthy' acting in amateur advert
BAFTA, like Jodie Comer and Sean Bean just to name a few.But this Superdrug store assistant has won people's hearts over with her ‘minimum effort’ amateur acting for an in-shop advert. The high street health and beauty retailer St Helens' store has a TikTok account where staff promote deals that customers can get their hands on.However, the offers were certainly not the highlight of this viral clip.In a video that has racked up a staggering 867,000 views, two staff members role played a scenario to advertise their recent Father's Day aftershave deals. And, it is obvious why the staff member playing the role of the customer stole the spotlight. The dark haired lass carried a basket and put her hand on her head, as she exclaimed: “Urgh I really need a Father's Day gift for this Sunday, what am I gonna get.”Staff member now turned leading lady, hastily took to the perfume counter where another worker who mainly remained off camera shared some cracking deals.“Well, we’ve got the fuzzy duck for £5, the Hugo Boss for £38 and the Versace for £21,” the supporting ‘actress’ said.Back to the assistant playing the role of the shopper, she enthusiastically said: “I’ll take them all, what a good deal.”Bravo!Having only been posted for a couple of days, the clip has found its way onto Twitter where people have praised them for their talents - and even have called for a BAFTA to be awarded. One person declared: “The acting on this TikTok from Superdrug in St Helen’s deserves a BAFTA.”Another added: “I've been watching this non-stop for two days.
