Super Smash Bros, has been declared the “Most Valuable Creator” at the Famitsu Dengeki Awards.Sakurai is best known for creating adorable pink bob character, Kirby, at the age of 19. Since then, he has also directed numerous acclaimed games including the Super Smash Bros series. Sakurai also directed Kid Icarus: Uprising on the Nintendo 3DS.The Famitsu Dengeki Awards were voted on by Famitsu readers, game developers, and voice actors.In a tweet, the Super Smash Bros creator expressed gratitude.

EVO has announced that Nintendo has chosen to pull Super Smash Bros from the roster of games at this year’s competition. The Evolution Championship Series (EVO) has seen Super Smash Bros games at the event since 2007, with 2022 being the first year since then not to include any games from the franchise.In a statement yesterday (February 26), the official EVO Twitter account said, “we are saddened that Nintendo has chosen not to continue that legacy with us this year.
