Shadow And Bone and Glamorous, along with adult animated series Agent Elvis, Farzaar, and Captain Fall have all been cancelled by Netflix and will not be returning for new seasons.According to Variety‘s sources, Netflix’s decision to cancel the shows stemmed from various reasons, including performance and the impact of the Hollywood strikes, with the industry currently evaluating production schedules and slate shifts.As Netflix has said about previous cancellations, the streaming service continues to compare viewing figures against production cost.Agent Elvis, Glamorous, Farzaar, and Captain Fall each ran for just one season before their cancellation. Meanwhile, Shadow And Bone was cancelled after its second season, which arrived on the streamer in March.Based on the Grishaverse novels by Leigh Bardugo, Netflix’s adaptation of Shadow And Bone follows Alina Sarkoff as she struggles with her sudden transition from an orphan into the savior of Ravka.

Netflix is facing some backlash from Shadow And Bone fans – with some threatening to boycott the streaming service.The fantasy drama is now in its second series, and stormed into the top two of the Netflix’s most-watched series last week upon its release. But, despite this good news, fans are concerned that a third series won’t be commissioned.Many fans took to Twitter imploring others to watch season two to increase figures to make it impossible for Netflix to decline a third season.

The cast of Netflix's  has officially wrapped filming its second season. On the first day of Netflix’s Geeked Week, the streamer unveiled a video of the cast, including stars Ben Barnes and Jessie Mei Li, announcing that season 2 had wrapped production and previewing what fans had to look forward to in the next installment of the fantasy series.Fans will recall that the first season of the series followed the first novel in author — and executive producer on the series — Leigh Bardugo’s best-selling trilogy of the same name with new content from the  duology.

Shadow and Bone was one of the most awaited series of 2021 as it begins the Grisha trilogy. The novel by Leigh Bardugo was long due to being made into an epic scale series and some of the netizens have actually compared it to Game of Thrones.
