Orbital have teamed up with actor Tilda Swinton for new single ‘Deepest’, a reworking of the duo’s 1989 track ‘Deeper’. Check out it below along with our interview on the reissue of the classic ‘Brown Album’.‘Deepest’ was debuted live last year, when Swinton joined the dance pioneers, brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll, onstage at Orbital’s Glastonbury performance.

Orbital have brought out Mel C and Tilda Swinton as special guests during their set at this year’s edition of Glastonbury.Swinton opened up the electronic duo’s set at the Park staged dressed in a long white dress with light-up specs. “Focus on a spot and when that spot has your full and complete attention, take a deep breath / let it out and close your eyes,” she said performing their song ‘Deeper’, while Orbital commenced the first track of the night from behind her.Towards the end of the night, the former sporty spice joined the duo for their performance of ‘Spicy’ which samples tracks from the Spice Girls‘ discography including their hit song ‘Wannabe’.

Orbital have announced details of their 2024 UK and Ireland tour.The band, which consists of Kent brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll, will tour their 1991 self-titled debut (also known as the ‘Green Album’). The track ‘Belfast’ from the record appeared in the soundtrack to the seminal Cool Cymru film Human Traffic (1999). Orbital have announced details of their new album ‘30 Something’ – you can listen to a new mix of ‘Where Is It Going?’, which posthumously features the late Stephen Hawking, below.The new record, which is set for release on July 15 via London Recordings, is being billed as “a musical celebration of the pioneering career of the hugely influential electronic music duo comprised of brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll”.Featuring a host of reworks, remakes, remixes and re-imaginings of “landmark Orbital tracks based on the duo’s unrivalled live show”, ‘30 Something’ will be released this summer to celebrate the duo’s recent 30th anniversary.Such Orbital tracks as ‘Chime’, ‘Satan’, ‘The Box’, ‘Impact’ and ‘Halcyon’ will feature on ‘30 Something’, as well as guest mixes from the likes of Joris Voorn, Jon Hopkins, Dusky, Jon Tejada, Yotto and David Holmes.“What’s been amazing for me is looking at our past and thinking of all the people who’ve come to see us, they are absolutely brilliant, warm and create such an amazing vibe,” Phil Hartnoll said in a statement. “They are now bringing their kids to our gigs, they love it.”His brother Paul added: “Now we’re diving into our past and reminding ourselves, blimey, we really did that.
