Justin Baldoni ‘devastated financially and emotionally’ by Blake Lively ‘It Ends With Us’ legal war: lawyer
his “It Ends With Us” co-star Blake Lively has left him “devastated financially and emotionally,” his lawyer Bryan Freedman said Monday at a pre-trial conference in Manhattan.Speaking in front of a judge assigned to oversee the stars’ warring lawsuits, Freedman added that the accusations Lively leveled against the “Jane the Virgin” alum and his co-defendants — “It Ends With Us” producers Jamey Heath and Steve Sarowitz, their production company Wayfarer Studios and publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel — have allegedly amounted to “hundreds of millions of dollars of prejudice.”“My grave concern is that my clients suffered hundreds of millions of dollars of prejudice as a result of actions they were blindsided by,” he said.Freedman also pleaded with the judge to fast-track the case, claiming his clients were “suffering greatly.”Michael Gottlieb, attorney for Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, insisted they were not dragging their heels. In her lawsuit filed in New York on New Year’s Eve, Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and, along with his associates, orchestrating a public smear campaign against her. The claims, which the “Gossip Girl” veteran first made in an interview with The New York Times, mirrored those included in the her California Civil Rights Department Complaint against Baldoni. He denied her accusations.

Justin Baldoni promises to launch website of ‘correspondence’ with Blake Lively to ‘quash her claims’
sexually harass Lively, 37, on the set of “It Ends With Us.”“Justin Baldoni and team have nothing to hide,” Freedman said in a statement to The Post, noting that the raw footage from the movie that Baldoni’s team recently released “proves this.”“Justin and team have the right to defend themselves with the truth and this is what we will be continuing to show with the upcoming website containing all correspondence as well as relevant videos that directly quash her claims,” Freedman added. The on-set footage from “It Ends With Us” that is referenced in Freedman’s statement was sent to The Post on Tuesday, and shows Lively and Baldoni slow-dancing as their characters in May 2023.Baldoni’s legal counsel claimed the footage refutes Lively’s characterization of his behavior on the set of the movie. In her sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni, Lively claimed that during the “slow dance scene,” Baldoni “leaned forward and slowly dragged his lips from her ear and down her neck as he said, ‘it smells so good.’” In the raw footage, Lively can be heard joking that she’s “probably getting spray tan on” Baldoni, who laughs and replies, “It smells good.” The video also references a charge Baldoni has leveled against Lively, namely that she implied he should get plastic surgery on his nose.Baldoni’s reps also shared a statement included on a title card at the top of the footage, saying that “both actors are clearly behaving well within the scope of the scene and with mutual respect and professionalism.”Lively’s team slammed Baldoni’s video in a statement to the Post and said the footage is “damning” and “corroborates” her allegations of sexual harassment.

Disney sued for $10B over ‘Moana,’ writer’s lawsuit cites ‘breathtaking’ similarities to his script and claims he was ‘prodded’ for content
The lawsuit, filed Friday by Buck Woodall in California federal court, claims the Disney films exhibit “breathtaking” similarities to his script, “Bucky the Wave Warrior” or “Bucky,” an animated feature he says was inspired by his “unique exposure” to Polynesian culture.Woodall is seeking “at least $10 billion” in damages and 2.5% of the gross revenue from “Moana 2” and related merchandise, a sum he estimated to be “at least $5 billion.”Both “Moana” and “Moana 2” were runaway hits for Disney, with the sequel setting the record for the biggest Thanksgiving weekend debut in box office history (it raked in $221 million in its five-day domestic open). In addition to Disney, production company Mandeville Films and former Mandeville exec Jenny Marchick (currently head of feature development for DreamWorks Animation) are named as defendants, per People. The timing of the legal action is less than ideal for Disney. The studio is reportedly hoping “Moana 2” will garner a Best Animated Feature Oscar nod when the Academy announces nominations, which was extended because of the devastating LA fires.According to Woodall’s lawsuit, the alleged similarities between the “Moana” movies and his script include a teenage protagonist on “a dangerous voyage across Polynesian waters” to save an “endangered” island, “ancient spirits manifested as animals which guide and guard the living,” a symbolic necklace central to the story and a demigod with a giant hook and tattoos, among others.Woodall claimed that he began sharing his ideas for “Bucky” with Marchick when she was at Mandeville Films in 2003.

Justin Baldoni claims Ryan Reynolds ‘berated’ him for ‘fat-shaming’ Blake Lively in new lawsuit
his new lawsuit against the New York Times.Baldoni, 40, claimed that Reynolds, 48, “berated” him during a heated meeting at the couple’s Tribeca penthouse in New York, in which he accused the director of “fat shaming” his wife. The “Jane the Virgin” star allegedly asked how much Lively, 37, weighed before he was supposed to life her in a scene. Baldoni claimed he had back issues and wanted “to ensure he could safely perform the lift without injury.”In response, Reynolds “aggressively berated” Baldoni during their meeting.“The confrontation that followed was so aggressive that Baldoni felt compelled to offer repeated apologies,” the lawsuit read.“Baldoni, in an effort to avoid further confrontation with Lively and Reynolds and rebuild rapport with his co-star, continued to bend to her will,” the legal filing added.A producer on the movie who was at the meeting allegedly later said “that in his 40-year career he had never seen anyone speak to someone like that.”Lively allegedly “refused to perform” the scene with Baldoni despite rehearsing “with a stunt double.”Baldoni also claimed Reynolds pressured Baldoni’s agency, WME, to drop him — allegedly during the “Deadpool & Wolverine” premiere in July, which took place before Baldoni hired his crisis PR team.
