Brooklyn group Crumb have come together with Melody Prochet a.k.a. Melody's Echo Chamber, another force of contemporary psychedelic pop, for a new collaborative single called "Le Temple Volant." In a press statement, Protchet described how she became a Crumb fan.

Young Fathers and Squid are among the latest batch of names who have been announced for next year’s Wide Awake Festival.The independent festival will be returning to London’s Brockwell Park on May 25, 2024 and had previously announced that King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard would be headlining.Now, numerous more acts have been added to the line-up, including DJs Ben UFO and Helena Hauff, Alice Glass and C.O.F.F.I.N. Also new to the bill are The Babe Rainbow, The Dare, Decius, Etran De L’air, Crumb, Eartheater, Upchuck, and YHWH Nailgun.

Crumb have announced the forthcoming release of their second album, ‘Ice Melt’.The album will follow their 2019 debut ‘Jinx’, produced by Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado and now released on the band’s own Crumb Records.‘Ice Melt’ is supposedly named for the blend of coarsely ground salts used to dissipate ice on your front steps – absorbing water and giving off heat – available cheaply at US hardware stores.The record will feature the three singles ‘Trophy’, ‘BNR’ and ‘Balloon’. Crumb recorded most of ‘Ice Melt’ – due out April 30 – in Los Angeles with Rado, demoed first in 2019 by frontwoman Lila Ramani on a trip.In a press statement, Ramani described the record as a “return back down to earth,” and an in-depth look at “real substances and beings

NME last year, Ramani said their debut was influenced by months of constant touring.“A lot of the experiences of being together on the road and that extreme versus being back in New York and not having a job have definitely made their way into the album,” she said. 

Citrus City is a tape label that digs up unsung and marginalized voices from the depths of the internet. Founded in Richmond, Virginia, in 2014 and now based out of New York City, the label has released music by an expansive range of artists, including the psych-jazz outfit Crumb, the indie rockers Vundabar, and the Virginia rapper McKinley Dixon. They’ve also reissued records by the emo math-rock project Peaer and the off-kilter electronic experimentalist Body Meat.
