BBC Radio 6 Music Festival will return to Manchester next month, with Christine And The Queens, Arlo Parks and Loyle Carner all set to headline.This year’s edition of the station’s annual live event is due to take place in Greater Manchester between March 23-26. Tickets go on general sale at 10am GMT this Thursday (February 16) – you’ll be able to buy yours here.Per a press release, the festival will boast “global premieres of brand new live shows, new music debuts, unique collaborations and surprise guests” across the four days.

Christine and the Queens – is accompanied by a clip featuring Redcar alongside Rodin’s 1877 statue l’Age d’airain (The Age of Bronze).The new clip sees Chris, AKA Redcar, dancing through a series of neon-lit scenes, described in a press release as “a dream-like universe” that “pays homage to the sculpture’s impeccable omnipotence”.Redcar will also present the video at the new Paris Sales art event in the French capital, the Paris+ fair by Art Basel. Chris, aka Christine and the Queens, has delayed his new album ‘Redcar les adorables étoiles’ and its accompanying live shows after suffering an injury in rehearsals.The French singer-songwriter – who is performing as the character Redcar for his current project – “injured himself on stage while dancing” last Thursday night (September 8), an official statement confirmed.“The doctors have forbidden him to return to the stage for at least three weeks, the time to recover. We are therefore obliged to cancel the concert in Arles on 17 September and to postpone the concerts in Paris and London.”Chris has also pushed back the release of his ‘Redcar…’ album from September 23 to November 11.The artist’s accompanying live shows were scheduled to take place at Cirque d’Hiver in Paris on September 22 and 23, and the Royal Festival Hall in London on September 30.

Charli XCX has announced details of her new BBC podcast, Charli XCX’s Best Song Ever.The first programme will air on BBC Sounds on Monday (August 9), and will see the artist “chat to friends and celebrity guests from around the world to discover the songs that have been instrumental in shaping their lives”.The likes of Beabadoobee, Mark Ronson, Tove Lo, Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek will all feature across the first season of Charli XCX’s Best Song Ever, which will consist of 20 episodes.“The reason I wanted to do this podcast is because I love talking to people, and I love exploring the emotional connection any person can have with music,” Charli said in a statement.

Worlds away from the rugged acoustics of Young's original, Chris's version is wispy and minimal, with most of the space in the mix taken up by layered harmonies.
