YG Entertainment’s upcoming girl group BABYMONSTER have covered BLACKPINK’s ‘Don’t Know What To Do’ on the latest ‘Last Evaluation’ episode.K-pop label YG Entertainment has released the latest episode of its reality series Last Evaluation, through which the members of its new girl group will be elimited after going through performance challenges and missions.The newly released fourth episode features the group’s trainees – Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Haram, Rora and Chiquita – in their first mission as a full group. The potential BABYMONSTER members teamed up for a dance cover of BLACKPINK’s 2019 song ‘Don’t Know What To Do’.While this episode’s mission was a dance-focused challenge, the seven trainees also re-recorded the track with their own vocals.

BABYMONSTER trainees Asa, Haram, Rora and Chiquita have covered BLACKPINK’s song ‘Stay’ for the latest episode of Last Evaluation.YG Entertainment has unveiled the third episode of Last Evaluation, through which the agency will decide the final line-up of its new K-pop girl group BABYMONSTER in a series of challenges.The trainees were previously split into two groups: Ahyeon, Ruka and Pharita for a cover of Rosé’s ‘Gone’ in episode two, and Asa, Haram, Rora and Chiquita for BLACKPINK’s 2016 track ‘Stay’ in the new episode.Their take on ‘Stay’ includes new melodies at some parts of the song, as well as a re-written rap section by Asa in the second verse. Its instrumental remained true to the original’s stripped-down acoustic.The four trainees’ performance of ‘Stay’ was criticised by AKMU’s Su-hyun and WINNER’s Yoon for appearing “tired” and “stiff”.

Last Evaluation, an online series by YG Entertainment that will decide the line-up of new K-pop group BABYMONSTER, has been released.The episode picks up where the previous one left off, and opens with the performance of Rosé‘s solo song ‘Gone’, as covered by trainees Ahyeon, Ruka and Pharita.Their version of the track was positively received by the judges, which included WINNER members Hoony and Yoon, AKMU‘s Lee Su-hyun and YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk.Notably, Hoony gave special mention to Pharita, who said that her voice gave him “goosebumps”. Meanwhile, Lee complimented Ahyeon’s harmonisation skills: “It got me thinking that she’s capable of being part of a group”.Elsewhere in the episode, the second group from BABYMONSTER – comprising Haram, Asa, Chiquita and Rora – were assigned ‘Stay’ by BLACKPINK to perform.The quartet are later joined by Lee in the practice room as they rehearse their upcoming performance.

YG Entertainment has released the first episode of Last Evaluation, the online series that will decide the line-up of the upcoming girl group BABYMONSTER.The episode opens with YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk breaking down his idea for wanting to further evaluate the trainees by splitting the members up into two different groups. “To form a team, you can’t just put together members that are really good,” he said.
