Taylor Swift’s new album Folklore is the first of her records to fall into the “alternative” music genre.

The call wasn’t a surprise. After all, since their breakup, drummer Sean Dowdell had remained friends and business partners with Chester Bennington, with whom he had founded Grey Daze in 1993.

Then he said, ‘When we do it, we should put Grey Daze back together,’ ” Dowdell recalls in a phone interview from Phoenix.Before he joined Linkin Park in 1999, Bennington, who committed suicide in July 2017, fronted the grunge metal band alongside Dowdell.
