The former Coronation Street star and fiance Lucy Mecklenburgh took to social media late on Thursday night to speak about the incident with 18-month-old Roman.
Ryan, who played Jason Grimshaw in the ITV soap, shared the 'scariest' moment on Instagram and revealed his little boy has been in intensive care for a week.
Alongside a picture of him cuddling Roman surrounded by machines in the hospital, the 37-year-old said: " No words can explain how grateful we are to have our little boy home safe after spending nearly a week in intensive care. READ MORE: Katie McGlynn reveals
