Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Rangers have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the table against Ross County today. A point against Motherwell last week saw Steven Gerrard 's side continue their unbeaten run in the Premiership so far this season.
However, the Ibrox gaffer will be disappointed with the overall display against the struggling Steelmen. Celtic were unable to capitalise on the slip-up and the second-placed Hoops are without a win so far in 2021.
It all means an opportunity to extend the lead at the top of the division to 23 points with a win over the Highland outfit.Gerrard faces some big decisions in his line-up with two crucial players nearing full fitness.
