Entertainment Weekly. The true-crime reality show which is aired on Fox, has been dumped after international protests of police brutality and racism began following the death of George Floyd on May 25. "Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don’t have any current or future plans for it to return," a  spokesperson from Paramount Network said in a statement.

The cancelling of the show comes a suprise to fans as it was just shy of it's 33rd season. Since its 1989 debut, it has aired more than 1,100 episodes.

Although some fans were upset it was cancelled, more viewers were thrilled about the decision and even noted it was a huge move amid a political and social crisis.
