Carrington this weekend after up to 2,000 people attended an illegal rave earlier this month. Police say they believe a 'copycat event' is planned at the same brownfield site this weekend.The dispersal order - which comes into effect at 5.30pm on Friday (July 3) and will be enforced for 48 hours - gives police the power to move people out of the area.Anyone who refuses can be arrested.

This is the second dispersal order that has been issued for the same area in Carrington since the illegal rave that took place on Saturday, June 13.

Up to 2,000 people attended the rave. Three people were stabbed and a woman was raped. In a post on the GMP Trafford North Facebook page, a police spokesperson said: "On Saturday 13th June 2020, 2000 people.
