Daniel Ricciardo McLaren sack rumours 'getting louder' after disappointing Monaco GP
Ricciardo was again out performed by teammate Lando Norris, who finished fifth in Monaco and picked up the fastest lap of the race, putting further pressure upon his experienced counterpart after his team already laid down the gauntlet.McLaren chief Zach Brown admitted last week that Ricciardo had not lived up to expectations since joining the team in 2021 and, while he is tied down with the team until 2023, he hinted at an end of the relationship before that by making it clear there were options to terminate that relationship. Now, after further disappointment in Monte Carlo, former F1 driver Ralph Schumacher suggested the team could indeed move on before next season, telling Sky Germany: "The rumours as well as the statements in the team, are getting louder. He’s just too far away from his teammate."I’m curious how the future looks for him.
