And Gemma replied: "Yeah, my mum and dad went to nursery together." The revelation that Gemma's parents have known each other since they were tiny tots prompted gasps from the girls with one being heard saying: "that's mental." Gemma's famous footballing father, Michael Owen, 42, and her mother Louise Bonsall, also 42, are indeed long-time childhood sweethearts.
