It emerged this week that Conservative MP Bob Seely hopes to see the House of Commons bring forward legislation to strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their official titles.The issue of removing titles that were given in the late Queen's gift is slightly more complicated as any attempt would have to be fronted by Parliament, with a statute passed by both the House of Commons and the Lords. But even if the decision was made, a leading royal expert has spoken to OK! about why any move like that would not be pushed by King Charles as he would not want to appear "vindictive".
