Share starts on Aug. 2 and will work with eOne’s President of Production, Film, Zev Forman, in overseeing the division’s day- to-day activities. The new “Transformers” movie has only just begun shooting, but Paramount Pictures wants to let the world know that they’re still spending all the money on this franchise. Today Paramount held a virtual Production Kickoff press conference event for the new film titled “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts,” complete with a virtual tour of their lot and an information-filled conversation with the director, Steven Caple Jr., producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, and the film’s stars Anthony Ramos (“In The Heights“) and Dominique Fishback (“Judas and the Black Messiah“).

Transformers franchise is not only beloved by the fans for more than a decade but it has minted billions of dollars on the box office. What started with Shia LaBeouf later went on to superstar Mark Wahlberg.

On Tuesday, Paramount put on a virtual showcase teasing the seventh Transformers film, which recently entered production, and revealed its title: Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

Following news that the studio was already in development on a separate Transformers movie from Charm City Kings Angel Manuel Soto, its other film looks to have found its lead. Sources tell Deadline, that Anthony Ramos is in final negotiations to star in a Transformers movie for Paramount and Hasbro that has Steven Caple Jr. is directing. Last week it was announced the studio was also developing an untitled pic from Soto that would be completely different from this pic and it has always been the plan to have multiple projects in pre-production at the same time. They are also developing an animated pic from Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley.

Deadline has confirmed that a new Transformers feature is in the works at Paramount though this new project is said to be separate from its main Transformer franchise, which includes the five installments directed by Michael Bay as well as the Bumblebee spin-off.
