Meghan Markle 'hysterical' after breaking Prince Harry's strict orders in interview

Royal writer Tom Bower has claimed that Prince Harry gave Meghan Markle a list of three things she couldn't talk about during her 2017 interview with Vanity Fair journalist Sam Kashner. The interview, which took place just two months before she and Harry announced their engagement, was supposed to be focused on her mixed-race background and her role on the TV show Suits. During the interview, Meghan appeared to attempt to steer the conversation away from her relationship with Harry - something which the Prince reportedly asked her to do.

Harry and Meghan 'festered with fury' after Queen 'blocked' Jubilee demands - new book
Tom Bower’s hard-hitting book about the “war” between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the Royal Family have emerged. They include the claim that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were left "festering with fury" after their plans for Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee weekend were all scuppered by the Palace. In the book, Bower writes that Harry asked Her Majesty the Queen to help him secure a "prominent" position for himself and Meghan, but was blocked at every turn by Prince Charles.READ MORE: Harry and Meghan to be 'regally' snubbed by Kate and William on US visit, expert claimsThe couple flew to Netherlands for the Invictus Games “but festering was their fury that the Palace had refused all of their demands for a prominent role at the Jubilee in return for returning to Britain with their children,” Bower says.Bower’s book goes into forensic detail about Meghan’s relationships with Vanity Fair magazine in the US and British Vogue.Bower says that as part of an in-depth profile with Vanity Fair shortly after her relationship with Harry became public, the soon-to-be Duchess insisted that she be presented “as a philanthropist and activist”.However, Bower writes, there was one problem: “Vanity Fair’s scrupulous researchers could find no evidence of her global philanthropy and activism."Meghan also reportedly refused to allow any mention of her royal boyfriend in the article, saying she refused to be defined by her relationships.Sam Kashner, a long-standing contributing editor at the magazine, “understood that the critical issue of Harry had been vetoed,” Bower saysBut the eventual publication of the article was a disaster, says Bower.
