Neil Young will be headlining at Glastonbury 2025, and the news has left some fans divided.The iconic festival is set to return to Worthy Farm in Pilton later this summer and, up until last week, the only confirmed artist was Rod Stewart, who will play the Sunday afternoon Legends Slot.There has been huge speculation around which artists will take on the coveted headline slots for 2025 – the last instalment before Glasto takes a year off in 2026. Earlier this week, however, Neil Young announced that he had been booked for the festival, but would be backing out due to it feeling like “a corporate turn-off”.Just days after making the post on his website, he shared another update this morning (January 3), saying that he had overturned his decision and would in fact be appearing at the 2025 instalment as one of the three headliners.“Due to an error in the information received, I had decided to not play the Glastonbury festival, which I always have loved,” he said.

Neil Young and Stephen Stills are set to reunite on stage as part of an upcoming charity concert.Taking place next month, the two – formerly bandmates as part of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young – will join forces once again to headline the 2024 edition of the Harvest Moon charity event.Set for Lake Hughes in California on October 5, the day event sees various artists deliver live performances to help raise funds for the Bridge School and the Painted Turtle Camp. The former is a non-profit organisation for children with severe speech and physical impairments, while the latter was formed by Paul Newman, and looks to give opportunities to children who are faced with life-threatening and chronic illnesses.As part of the 2024 edition, the organisers have confirmed that the iconic folk singers are the first two names locked in on the bill, and more artists are set to be announced soon.

His latest comments echoed ones made in December of 2021, when he said he wouldn’t be returning to touring until COVID-19 was “beat” and the pandemic was over.
