Gladiators legend Kim ‘Lightning’ Betts questioned whether the iconic battles will be ‘as exciting’ in the upcoming BBC revival. After reboot rumours started swirling last month, the BBC confirmed that the reboot will include brand new games alongside classic challenges, culminating at the end of each episode with fan favourite The Eliminator. While former gymnast Kym, 49 is ready to see a fresh face of contenders take on the gladiators, she also fears that the highly-anticipated special won’t be as thrilling as the 90s original.

Diane Youdale Gilbert, who was known as 'Jet' on Gladiators over three decades ago remains a favourite among fans of the original show. Diane, who is now 54, took part in four series of the ITV programme from 1992 to 1995.

GLADIATORS legends Lightning, Saracen and Hunter looked unrecognisable as they reunited on This Morning. The 90s TV favourites joined Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle on the sofa of the ITV daytime show today amid rumours the smash hit series is being revived. James Crossley, aka Hunter, Kim Betts, who was known as Lightning, and Michael Lewis, who transformed into Saracen, entered the studio by bursting through a piece of paper with their iconic pugil sticks.

The Gladiators seem to be taking the coronavirus isolation in their stride and have been coming up with ingenious ways to work out during lockdown.
