Coronation Street actress Joan Savage has sadly died aged 89.The star briefly played dancer Celeste Pickersgill in the hit ITV soap, with her character being partnered with Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden) in a competition at the Tower Ballroom. Despite her time on the cobbles, Joan was best known for her roles in The Arthur Haynes Show between 1956 and 1962 and in hit British sitcom Dad's Army. Joan's impressive career in TV and stage spanned six decades.
