Dan Walker caught trouserless in backstage snap after awkward blunder before show
Dan Walker had clearly not prepared for every eventuality as he was left trouserless ahead of his hosting gig on Channel 5.The 45-year-old was fortunate that a member of the public ran to his rescue to save the day after he'd suffered a nightmare day where his wardrobe had been concerned.Life had been ticking along smoothly for Dan after he made the switch from BBC Breakfast to Channel 5 News recently, until this week that is.READ MORE: Dan Walker hits back at claim he was 'shackled at the BBC' after Channel 5 moveOn Monday's episode, Dan opened up about his hellish trip to the office which could have left him feeling rather red faced had a bystander not have stepped in.The TV host didn't delve into all of the finer detail but did explain to viewers that it "was a long story" but he'd somehow forgot to pack his trousers and shirt for work.Having a joke with his new co-star Katherine Nash on his new show, he said: "I’m not going to lie, I’ve got full coverage of back sweat."You probably don’t wanna hear that but the good news is, people are looking out for each other today!"The news reporter added: "I should say a huge thank you to Hash who works in a pub/hotel around the corner called the Waterman."I lost my trousers and shirt today, it’s a long story..."I turned up there, he lent me an iron, I ironed my spare shirt and he also gave us a nice glass of ice cold water."Giving further thanks, Dan commented: "What a man," as a number of pictures of Dan with Hash appeared on the screen behind him.The TV star doesn't tend to take himself too seriously and will often share his own misfortunes with his adoring Twitter following.Doing just that, he also took to the popular platform to tweet about the mishap.He hilariously penned:
