Fans of Gavin & Stacey might struggle to recognise actor Robert Wilfort, who famously portrayed Stacey's older brother Jason, in his latest role. Swapping the laughs for a different kind of drama, Robert is guest starring in the BBC daytime mystery series Father Brown, appearing as a clean-shaven maths professor – quite the change from his scruffy character Jason, who was involved in the notorious fishing trip with Uncle Bryn in the much-loved sitcom.The mystery of the trip has been a long-standing source of intrigue among fans, and though the big reveal was highly anticipated during the 2024 Christmas finale, viewers were left hanging.

We're heading back to the fictional town of Shipton Abbott for Beyond Paradise's Christmas special, as detective Humphrey and the rest of his unit investigate a local haunting.Tackling his first-ever supernatural case, Humphrey (played by Kris Marshall) is tackling new territory in the picturesque Devon town. While viewers will be treated to another series of scenic backdrops as Beyond Paradise gets in the festive spirit, it will come as a surprise to some that the BBC spin-off isn't always filmed in Devon. Speaking about the show's filming locations earlier this year, Kris revealed that some scenes were actually shot in Cornwall.

Beyond Paradise has proven to be a big hit with TV viewers, and many are wondering whether another series will be created.The second season is set to draw to a close on Friday, 26 April with the highly anticipated finale airing on BBC One at 9pm. The second series of the Death in Paradise spin-off has been filled with drama and will end with the wedding day of Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) and Martha Lloyd (Sally Bretton) finally arriving. It remains to be seen if the couple will actually manage to exchange vows, as plenty of disruption to their big day has been teased.
