Donny Osmond, 64, has shared some sweet throwback snaps of himself and wife Debbie Osmond, 63, dressed up for Halloween back in 1977.The star went on to reveal that he had got down on one knee to propose “not longer after” that "crazy" evening. Donny took to Twitter today to share the special memories with his 209,100 followers. The snaps saw Donny dressed up as the character Captain Purple from The Donny and Marie Osmond Show.The Osmonds star wore a bright purple superhero costume and curly purple wig. Meanwhile Debbie was all smiles as she donned a large inflatable pumpkin outfit.  Recalling that evening, Donny penned: “This was Debbie and me on Halloween night back in 1977. “I proposed not long after that crazy trick or treat evening,” he continued.“I don't know how she agreed to marry me after she saw me wearing my Captain Purple outfit. “What was I thinking? Oh well, I guess it worked…” Donny quipped.  In a follow-up tweet, he wrote: “Note to all you guys out there. If you want to attract the perfect woman, wear a Captain Purple outfit for Halloween.”Donny and Debbie have been married for nearly 45 years, tying the knot back in 1978. The pair share five sons: Don, Jeremy, Brandon, Christopher and Joshua.Donny and Debbie also became grandparents for the first time in 2005, and now have twelve grandchildren in total.  Donny’s fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the sweet throwback snaps. Christine wrote: “And which women wouldn’t say yes to you millions would have said yes  me included.

BBC Radio 4.Donny has revealed he once faced crippling anxiety while appearing on stage in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.His lead role in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical revived the pop star's career in a time where it was facing a bit of a lull, but the former teen pop sensation admitted there were difficulties behind the scenes.Donny, who has been famous since childhood, confessed he feared his career would be over if he did not deliver an outstanding performance. He shared he had been experiencing panic attacks and stage fright, as he was riddled with worries that he wouldn’t be good enough in the critically-acclaimed production. "I didn't want my career to fail again," he said. "I had to be perfect. “If I didn't give a perfect performance people would walk out of the theatre saying 'it wasn’t worth the price.'"Donny previously shared his experiences of anxiety, saying: "There are times I remember before I walked on stage where if I had the choice of walking on stage or dying, I would have chosen death."Of his panic attacks, the star said: "I thought I was actually going crazy in my mind."I remember shaking in bed, and I just… I couldn't get out of bed.Something was wrong, and my wife took me to the hospital.""I felt like he was having a nervous breakdown,” his wife Debbie Osmond said.
