Sinbad is recovering after a stroke, as revealed by his family in a new statement on Monday.

Actor and comedian Sinbad, who was born David Adkins, has suffered from a stroke at the age of 64, his family shared on Monday.The Adkins family said in a statement to The Associated Press that 'it is out of sincere love that we share Sinbad, our beloved husband and father, is recovering from a recent stroke.'The star is best known for his career as a stand-up comedian as well as an actor in the movies Jingle All The Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1996 and Good Burger with Kenan Thompson in 1997.
