Drug dealer who supplied Mac Miller with deadly pills jailed for more than 10 years
drugs that led to rapper Mac Miller's death has been jailed for more than 10 years.Ryan Reavis was sentenced to 10 years and 11 months in prison after pleading guilty to having provided the ex-boyfriend of pop star Ariana Grande with fentanyl-laced pills that resulted in his fatal overdose in September 2018 when he was aged just 26.Reavis admitted in 2019 to being a middle man in deals that supplied Miller, whose real name was Malcolm James Myers McCormick, with counterfeit oxycodone. However, the 39-year-old maintains he was not aware that the pills had been laced with fentanyl. The jail term handed down to Reavis is marginally longer than the one recommended by probation officers but falls short of the 12-and-a-half years sought by prosecutors.A heartbreaking statement read out by prosecutors on behalf of Miller's mother preceded the announcement of Reavis' sentence by the court's judge.Karen Meyers' statement read: "My life went dark the moment Malcolm left his world. Malcolm was my person, more than a son.
