Piers Morgan, 56, has recalled how wrong his face-off against Australian bowler Brett Lee went.The presenter admitted he was left with broken ribs after the encounter, which aired on Australian television.Back in 2013, Piers faced off against the legendary bowler in the nets.After calling out cricketers over the ashes, he agreed to face off against Brett for six blistering shots.Opening up about this moment in a recent podcast, Piers admitted he was worried he was about to die.Speaking on a podcast with Brett he recalled how he felt lining up to take the shots.He said: “Now I’m thinking literally I could die, these will be the last few minutes of my illustrious life.”Piers admitted his three sons were watching Brett fire the balls at him, as he recalled the injuries he suffered.Speaking on January 18, he said: “The first one smashed into my wrist, I thought you’d broken my wrist“I thought, ‘You can’t show any pain, show no pain.’“The second one I dived for cover and ended up on my backside.”“The third one breaks my rib and you had a grin on your face but I was in absolute agony, I thought I’d broken my rib.”However, Piers admitted he was pleased with himself as he kept getting back up like Rocky Balboa.“I was just in so much pain,” the presenter added.In response, Brett joked that he had been worried he was going to get done for murder.Speaking at the time in 2014, Brett admitted Piers had warned him to not go easy on him.He told the Sydney Morning Herald: ''When I was going into the nets to bowl at him he said, 'Make sure you go flat out,' because he thought if I went half-hearted it wouldn't look good.
