Men slam Starbucks barista's secret note to girl as 'they can't approach women anymore'
writing a subtle message to a teenage girl via her coffee cup when she was approached by an older male customer.The story went viral earlier this week after the girl's mum, Brandy Roberson, said she felt relieved to know that employees at a Starbucks in Texas went the extra mile to see whether her 18-year-old daughter needed help when a man came up to her while she was alone in one of their outlets.The barista offered her daughter a spare hot drink that someone "forgot" to collect at Staples and SPID in Corpus Christi, Texas, with a discreet message on it that read: “Are you okay? Do you want us to intervene? If you do, take the lid off the cup."But while the majority of comments from thousands of men and women were overwhelmingly positive, a minority of middle-aged men began complaining that 'they can't approach women anymore' because of acts like this.Oddly choosing LinkedIn as their platform to vent in front of potential employers, one bloke commented: "Best men not speak to or even address a woman/she /her in future so? "Would you like some snowflakes in that extra hot chocolate? Or maybe they should have handed her a taser?? #metoo #overreaction "We are not being presented with all of the facts here whatsoever.
