Strictly Come Dancing's John Whaite had to unexpectedly step down from his current pantomime gig due to feeling unwell on the day of the highly-anticipated performance. Famed for his quickstep on the Strictly dance floor, John is currently part of the Cinderella cast performing in Bradford, but sadly he had to sit out his Thursday 28 December performance because of ill health, forcing an understudy to step into his shoes as Dandini. John took the time to share a dazzling snap of his co-star, professional actor William Elijah Lewis, over on Instagram Stories following the unfortunate news he wouldn't be able to perform.

Emmerdale favourite Samantha Giles has announced she will be leaving the ITV soap later this year. The actress, who plays Bernice Blackstock, made her first appearance in Emmerdale over 25 years ago, but has confirmed she's now departing the soap for good.

EastEnders has been a tough watch in recent weeks as Lola Pearce has faced the heartbreaking reality that she doesn't have long to live due to her brain tumour. Now this week is Lola's last few days as she is set to pass away during Wednesday night's episode. Lola's grandad Billy, played by Perry Fenwick has said that Lola's death is the saddest storyline in his 25 years on the soap.

Emmerdale star Danny Miller has confirmed his first major acting role since leaving the ITV soap.The actor played fan favourite Aaron Dingle in the TV Dales between 2008 and 2014 before reprising his role for another stint between 2014 and last year.He then decided to swap the familiar scenes of Soapland for ITV's hit reality show, I'm A Celeb, where he was crowned the winner of the series at Gwrych Castle in North Wales.Danny, 31, has now announced his new role, which will see him taking his talents to the panto stage at Christmas.He's bagged himself the lead role in Jack and The Beanstalk, will will be running at Bradford Theatre from December 10 until January 22 next year. Revealing the news on Twitter, Bradford Theatre wrote: "We’re so excited that Emmerdale star and King of the Jungle Danny Miller and Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK runner-up & musical theatre performer Divina De Campo will be joining Billy Pearce in this year’s panto Jack and the Beanstalk".
